The Brothers of Omicron Mu has partnered with Project Fly LA for another year of giving and Uplift. 5 families in the San Fernando Valley will see their Christmas trees filled with toys as we bring joy and smiles to the faces of many kids on Christmas Day. The men of Omicron Mu helped usher, chaperone and set up an amazing cultural event sponsored by The Village Nation (www.thevillagenation.com). Black Student Unions from various high schools across the San Fernando Valley (Taft, Canoga Park, Reseda, Valley Academy of Arts and Science, El Camino Real) gathered at Northridge AMC to view the critically acclaimed film The Woman King staring Viola Davis. After the private screening the students discussed the movies significance and meaning, as well as current day issues affecting our youth.
Hebrews 6:10 “God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them.” O-Mu, it warms my heart when i reflect on how we continue to Impact our Community through great service. This Thanksgiving Season being no exception. From giving out 25 Turkeys collectively to the Rock of the Valley Church and Fickett Towers seniors community, to casing the streets of the San Fernando Valley greeting the homeless community with a hot cup of coffee, muffin and PPE/Toiletry kit.
